  • A Traing Program on DSSAT Version 4.5 in Thailand
    The Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA) is sponsoring an international training course on DSSAT Version 4.5. Applicants from invited countries can apply for financial support through diplomatic channels.     On June 1, 2011 the sale and distribution of the DSSAT Version 4.0.2.0 software has been discontinued. We expect that the new DSSAT v4.5 will be available during early Fall, 2011.   • Attachai Jintrawet Appointed As New Chair
    On April 1, 2007, Dr. Attachai Jintrawet, Associate Professor in the Department of Soil Science and Conservation at Chiang Mai University, was appointed as Coordination Research chair of the CDN of the Thailand Research Fund (TRF). Jintrawet is a member of the Board of ICASA.

  • In Memory of W. McNair Bostick III
    The Agricultural and Biological Engineering Department of the University of Florida is deeply saddened by the loss of one of our wonderful graduate students, McNair Bostick, who passed away on August 28, 2006 as the result of a tragic accident.

    It will never be as popular as Grand Theft Auto or The Sims. But among the world's agricultural scientists, increasing numbers are requesting the latest version of DSSAT (Decision Support System for Agrotechnology Transfer) software, a crop-modeling computer program.

  • DSSAT Version 4.0.2.0 Release
    The DSSAT development team announces the release of DSSAT v4.0.2.0, which is an update of DSSAT v4.0. Current DSSAT v4.0 owners can download this update from the ICASA web page at http://168.29.150.63:81/. This version of DSSAT includes a new cotton model as well as the spatial application tool AEGIS/WIN that was available earlier under DSSAT v3.5. DSSAT v4.0.2.0 also includes many code improvements as well as fixes for bugs that were discovered since the release of DSSAT v4.0 in 2004.
