Applications
Agriculture and the Mimbres Collapse
Michael Pool - March 2004
Poster presented at the 69th Annual Meeting of the Society of American Archaeology March 31-April 4, 2004.
Optimization of fertilizer application for irrigated
wheat systems based on an integration of crop simulation models and nuclear techniques:
L. K. Heng, P. Moutonnet, and W. A. Baethgen - August 2001
Evaluation of crop simulation models with observed data is an important component for crop
model applications. The International Atomic Energy Agency used the CERES-Wheat model to
develop optimum fertilizer application rates for wheat in fourteen member states.
Crop Modeling in Namibia:
Albert J. Calitz and Andries L du Pisani - September 2000
Data generation is a difficult task in a resource poor country like Namibia.
The Agro-ecological Zoning of Namibia programme believes that simulation forms a necessary
part of interpreting crop research results and make it applicable for planning, extension and
monitoring.
