The IRI's Data Library now supports download of daily weather data in the ICASA format, from two of its daily station data sets.
The NOAA NCDC Global Daily Climatology Network (GDCN) includes daily precipitation and minimum and maximum temperature data from 32,857 stations globally. Duration and spatial coverage vary considerably by country.

The ANEEL (Agência Nacional De National Climate Center Energia Elétrica, Brazil, www.aneel.gov.br) data set contains daily precipitation data from 13,179 stations in South America, with the greatest concentration in Brazil.
